Italian Siena marble is prized for its rich golden-honey tones, warm veining, and unmistakably luxurious character, quarried in limited quantities from the hills around Siena in Tuscany. Its rarity, combined with centuries of use in important palazzi, churches, and Renaissance interiors, has made it a symbol of refinement and character. English, late 18th /early 19th century.
